New Home Search App Launched by the Central Virginia Regional MLS

By on June 19, 2013

Central Virginia Regional Multiple Listing Service is proud to announce the launch of the RVA Homes app. RVA Homes provides the most accurate, on-the-go access for REALTORS® andrva_iPhoneTrio consumers to search homes, explore real-time listing details, view photos, conduct location-based searches with GPS, filter by a variety of criteria, and save and share results electronically.

The new RVA Homes app will allow users to:

Search listings with the touch-sensitive “draw search” and retrieve listings in the drawn area on the map; utilize a GPS enabled device to find listings nearby; or search using an address, city, zip, or MLS#.

Connect with an agent or client using the app’s ‘Home Assist’ feature.

Post favorite listings and share saved searches via Facebook, Twitter, text messaging, or email.

Stop printing directions. With the one-touch maps function, agents and consumers enjoy the simplicity of guided directions straight to each listing.

View properties on an interactive map (street, satellite, and hybrid).

Filter searches by listing status, price, beds, baths, etc.

Visit the app store today to experience the speed, accuracy, and simplicity of this brand new mobile tool.

      Michelle,
The app password entry is case sensitive. Please make sure you do not have any caps in your password. This is different from Tempo, because CVR MLS recently removed the case sensitivity from the login screen. Try that, and if you have any other questions, please let us know.

I was wondering if there was a way to share this app, or have it so when clients use it they see my information only? Or get routed to me no matter what they’re looking at like here: http://travisb.cvrmls.mlxtempo.com/?Page=254210 Thanks!

      Travis,
Yes, you can definitely share the app. Are you sure you’ve logged in as an agent? Only the agent side of the app will allow the user to share the sub-branded app. Once you’ve logged into the app with your Tempo login information, you should see your contact information just below the RVA homes logo on the main menu screen.

I just noticed that you’ve seen the demo video I included in the CVR MLS blast that went out yesterday. Thank you for the compliment! Please feel free to call me if you have any further questions.

2 issues: 1. – The location setting keeps giving me an error saying it was unable to pick up my current location, but when I got to the map, it is correct. 2. As an agent and MLS subscriber, do I login with my MLS login data or make a new account (like a customer/client would do)? It is very unclear and doesn’t recognize my CVR MLS login info on the green “Agent Login” area. Also, I have no head shot in the directory. Please help.

      Aaron,
Have you checked your phone’s location permissions? The GPS function does not work unless you have the correct settings on your phone, I figured this out yesterday myself, as I was having a similar issue. As for the agent login, yes, if you are a subscriber to CVR MLS just use your Tempo login/password. The only catch here is that it is case sensitive. Your picture is part of your contact info that is pulled from Tempo. To update your contact info or add a picture, just login to Tempo and select “Preferences” in the upper right corner, then you can add/edit your photos.

Let me know if you need any further assistance! I’ve just posted a demo/tutorial on YouTube. Take a look:

This app works well, however, many of us out here (appraisers) need access to closed sales, at least closed within the past year. It seems like this would be easy to add and I would use this app almost every day if it searched closed sales.
